Partnering with Habitat for Humanity Whatcom

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization committed to overcoming substandard housing through the building of safe, decent, affordable homes with our partner families.  Since beginning operation in Whatcom County in 1988, they’ve completed 38 homes and housed more than 150 Whatcom County residents.  Ridwell member donations will be sold in their Bellingham store to benefit both the construction of new affordable housing and their various community partners, such as Lydia Place.

Partnering with Lydia Place

The mission of Lydia Place is to disrupt the cycle of homelessness and promote sustained independence for current and future generations. They accomplish this mission through a suite of permanent and transitional housing programs, counseling services, and community engagement opportunities. A portion of all Ridwell member donations to Habitat for Humanity will go towards store credit for families served by Lydia Place, so that they can shop for the items they need for their homes.

Join the movement to build a future without waste.
