Strategic Materials started in 1896, originally known as the Bassichis Company. Over the next century, the company continued to develop new and innovative glass recycling techniques while expanding their reach across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Glass processed by Strategic goes through a rigorous sorting process where unwanted materials such as plastic and metal are screened out, and the glass is sorted by color. This sorted glass - now known as glass cullet, is sent to furnaces where it will be made into new bottles/jars for your favorite beverage or snack! Glass is 100% recyclable, which means the recycling process can be repeated over and over again, reducing the need for virgin resources each time!

We work with local partners to bring new life to your stuff. From community reuse to grassroots recycling, we make sure it stays out of the landfill.
